If they get it wrong it is only fair and just that apologies are of relative size and prominence to ensure maximum exposure to corrections and permanent damage to individuals lives is minimised. Apologies should not be allowed to be buried deep within a newspaper the correction should be like for like to give as many people the opportunity of seeing the correction as the innaccuracy.
